Mike spent over a decade rising through the ranks of corporate finance, ultimately serving as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a prominent distribution and fulfillment provider. In that role, he realized that when a successful family business sold, the transition sometimes failed to honor the founder’s decades of effort. The focus was too often on extracting short-term profit, leading to disruption, employee turnover, and a diminished legacy.
